Gertrude Lucille Weinert's Obituary
Gertrude “Lucille” Weinert, age 90, passed away Friday morning, March 7, 2014, at her home. She was born March 10, 1923 in Hart, MI to Carl and Elizabeth (Routley) VanEps; and has resided in the Muskegon area since 1946. Lucy was a twenty-year Beautician by profession, but enjoyed decorating, picture puzzles, restoring furniture, playing Scrabble and staying in their country home in Scottville. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. On August 17, 1940 she married Willard O. Weinert and he preceded her in death on July 18, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert; daughter, Audrey Hoeft; 3 grandchildren; her brother, Gerald VanEps and sister, Ruby Weinert. SURVIVORS include 6 children, Michael (Rita) Weinert, Loretta Halberda, David (Jan) Weinert, Larry (Susan) Weinert, Gertrude (Torger) Johnson, Margaret (Michael) Matuzeski, all of Muskegon and 19 grandchildren. The FUNERAL SERVICE for Lucille will be 3PM Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100).
