Mrs. Gertrude E. Coke, age 89, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 23, 2003. She was born March 24, 1914 in Staples, MN to Ora and Violettia (Countryman) Elless. On August 28, 1951, she married Brouten C. Coke in Indianapolis, IN and he preceded her in death on February 28, 1986. SURVIVORS include 6 children, Velma LeBaron of Muskegon, LeRoy (Marlene) Grammar of Muskegon, Virginia Lovins of Arizona, Verma Vacco of Arizona, Bernard (Elsie) Grammar of Pontiac, MI, Clifton (Sharon) Coke of Robertsville, MO; 31 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 1 daugther, Vivian Aho, and 2 sons, Howard Coke and Robert Sanford. In accordance with Mrs. Coke’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
