Gertrude G. "Gertie" Hotnisky's Obituary
Mrs. Gertrude Gladys Hotnisky, age 83, passed away Sunday morning, December 13, 2009 at the McAuley Place following a long illness. Gertrude was born in Muskegon on August 31, 1926 to John and Matilda (Hokenson) Anderson. For many years Gertie was a crossing guard in Muskegon Heights and was a former member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She is a member of Central Assembly of God of Church and is survived by: daughter, Vanessa (Jerry) Roznowski of Roosevelt Park; two sons, Andrew Hotnisky of Coopersville and Randy Hotnisky of Spring Lake; brother, Harold (Bobbie) Anderson of Nashville; five grandchildren, Jason (Lisa) Lewis, Jeremy (Jamie) Lewis, Ryan Berry, Josh and Andrew Roznowski and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her former husband Andrew, 6 brothers and 2 sisters. The funeral service will be held at: The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 11:00 A.M., Thursday, Pastor Jerry Whitman officiating. Visitation: Wednesday, 6-8 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Memorial Contributions: Heartland Hospice.
