To our Maranatha neighbor. One who dearly loved her family without reservation. The only love above her family was her Lord and Saviour,Jesus Christ.
Some 27 years ago when we first moved into the cottage next to her, she was still accompanied by her loving husband, Dr.Jim. It was our joy to have met Dr.Jim even though it was a few short yrs.Throughout the many yrs of her remaining life,Gertrude remained stedfast and stalward-deeply missing Jim,but focusing even more on the lovely family that God had given them.
When the children married and moved from the area, there was always an American flag waving upon their return-and remained waving until they left. The cottage was always prepared for their arrival. She was a GREAT mother.
Gertrude was the woman who always had the most beautiful geraniums hanging from her porch.(summer after summer).A woman strong in character-with a soft loving Spirit.
Gertrude you will be missed! You were a wonderful neighbor and friend. You will always be in our memory.
With love gratitude and thanks,
