Gertrude R. Klevering's Obituary
Ms. Gertrude R. Klevering, age 89, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at a local nursing home. She was born January 10, 1915 in Muskegon to John and Ida (Trap) Klevering and lived her entire life in the area. She worked as an accounting and payroll clerk for Fitzpatrick Electric Company for 34 years before retiring in 1987. She was a former member of Unity Reformed Church where she had been active in the Ladies Guild. SURVIVORS include 3 gernerations of nieces and nephews among which are Marilyn (Ray) Gelderloos, Charlotte Meloche, Marva Bowers, Ronald (Ruth) Hoff, Loren (Sue) Klevering, Bruce Klevering; and special friend, Beverly Lundborg. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, September 23, 2004 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. William Uetricht officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Restlawn Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service, 12-1 PM Thursday at the church.
