Gilbert Ray Gauthier's Obituary
Gilbert Ray Gauthier age 67, of Ravenna, MI died Sunday, May 12, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Gilbert was born on February 29, 1952 in Ft. Hood, Texas to the late Albert and Delores (Bon) Mikolich. He served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1972. He married Debra J. (Foley) Gauthier on November 9, 1974 in Moorland Township, MI.
Gilbert is survived by his wife of 44 years: Debra J. Gauthier of Ravenna, 3 Sons: David (Sheila) Schoen of Muskegon, Rick (Rochelle) Schoen of Louisiana and Jason (Desiree) Gauthier of Holland. 2 daughters: Gigi (Brian) Hopkins of Georgia and Melinda Gauthier (Bryan Peterson) of Freeport. 9 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. 4 Sisters: Marsha (John) Eck of Muskegon, Karen (David) Hogan of N. Muskegon, Sharon (Joe) Hoffman of N. Muskegon and Doris Gauthier of Muskegon. 2 Step Brothers: Michael (Rose) Kolbe of Muskegon and Kenneth (Kathy) Kolbe of Colorado. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Gilbert will be conducted on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11:00am at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna with Pastor Don VanSlyke officiating. Burial will be in Egelston Township Cemetery.
The family will be at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00pm to receive friends. Also on Friday 1 hour prior to the service.
