Mrs. Gladys May Baird's Obituary
Mrs. Gladys May Baird, age 95, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 20, 2013. She was born June 21, 1918 in Onekama, MI to Fred and Jennie (Murray) Todd. Mrs. Baird had been the owner/operator of the Airport Lunch Restaurant for several years. She was a great cook, loved to fish, and play Bingo. On June 26, 1937 she married Rodney L. Baird, Sr. in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on July 14, 2002. SURVIVORS include her son, Rodney L. (Wilfriede “Vivian”) Baird, Jr. of Croton, MI; daughter-in-law, Sheila Baird of Hart; son-in-law, Michael R. Stube of Norton Shores; 7 grandchildren; 1 step-grandson; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Brown of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, James E. Baird in March of 1995; daughter, Emily J. Stube in February of 2001; 2 granddaughters; brother, Fred Todd, Jr.; 2 sisters, Grace Barr and Gail Daniels. The family would like to take a moment to thank Matt Fox and the staff at Brookhaven for all of their special care over the past few years. According to Gladys’ wishes, there will be no services.
