Gladys E. Slezak's Obituary
Mrs. Gladys E. Slezak, age 82, passed away Tuesday morning at Sanctuary at the Shore Care Facility in Grand Haven, following a brief illness. Gladys was born in Muskegon on April 1, 1927, the sixth of nine children to Walter and Mary (Posobiec) Kuzniar. She was a life long resident of Fruitport and married Mr. Joseph Slezak on September 18, 1948. Gladys was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Nunica and enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, canning and spending time at their trailer on Sauble Lake. She is survived by: husband, Joseph; two sons, Gary (Carla) Slezak and Dennis (Kimberly) Slezak both of Fruitport; four grandchildren, Joel, Jodie and Cari Slezak and Jamie (Rob) Thompson; one brother, Joseph (Theresa) Kuzniar of Fruitport; two sisters, Stella Allard of Fruitport and Louise (Arnold) Redeker of Grand Haven. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Eleanor Kuzniar and brother-in-law, Paul Schultz, Sr. both of Fruitport. She was preceded in death by her: daughter, Peggy Slezak-Leech in 1979; brothers, Stanley, Chester and Richard Kuzniar and sisters, Sophie Schultz and Helen Borgman. Visitation will be held at:
