With sympathy on the loss of your dear Mother Gale. I guess we thought Gladys would live on forever. She definitely lived life to its fullest.
I will miss seeing her @ Laura's where she went to get her hair done. Just got used to the fact she wasn't @ McKenzie-Price to greet us anymore. She was one special lady. A friend to all indeed.
Although her physical presence has left us, she will always remain a special part of you through memories.

Gale, I am so sorry to hear about your mom, she was an amazing lady! One of my best memories of her was about 8 or 9 years ago. She came over to our house with my mom to lay by the pool for the afternoon. Christopher was about 6 and he was bored swimming by himself. He had already tried to coax his grandma in the pool, but she didn't want to get wet, but Gladys said, "I'll swim with you Chris," and off the diving board she went at 80 years old!!! Chris' eyes were as big as saucers, he couldn't believe a grandma could do that!! And that's just the kind of lady she was, one of a kind! We will miss her! Take care, you are in our thoughts. Our family has lost an amazing lady. When I think of Aunt Glad - all I see is her smile, she was always smiling. I also see stockings, lots and lots of Christmas stockings which she spent hours making year after year and which I still hang every year, proudly with love. She will greatly missed. I've never had the pleasure of meeting you, but fortunately I was able to enjoy knowing Gladys for many years at Samuel Lutheran Church. She was an idol to me and I loved her. Her smile was radiant and contagious. When she helped out with summer Sunday school, she would do anything with a smile. No matter when or where I would run into Gladys, she always carried herself so well and she not only looked vibrant on the outside--but her sweet personality would shine through as well! She was an inspiration to me and a positive influence on everyone around her with her zest for life and infectious attitude. God has truly blessed many of us who have known her in this world and she will be missed. My heart goes out to you and your family.
