Gladys M. Rinard's Obituary
Mrs. Gladys M. Rinard, age 86, passed away Sunday evening, October 3, 2004, at a local nursing home. She was born November 20, 1917 in Bridgman, Michigan to Lee & Vala (Burgoyne) Ashcraft and has resided in the Muskegon area for many years. Mrs. Rinard was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Gladys married Gordon M. Rinard on November 28, 1936 and he preceded her in death on January 14, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Catherine Rinard; 2 brothers, Lee & V.C. Ashcraft and 2 sisters, Veral Burns & Helen Wells. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Gordon L. (Stephanie) Rinard and Sandra Hosko of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Glee Hope Nyrkkanen of Ypsilanti,MI and Gerry Gleam Harmon of Newcastle,IN. SERVICES will be 3PM Wednesday at St. Mark Lutheran Church (4475 Henry Street) with the Rev. Mark Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with Gladys’ family will be 6-8PM Tuesday (this evening) at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.,737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442 (231-726-5210). For a more lasting memorial you are asked to consider the Building Fund of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
