Glenda Mae Meyers' Obituary
Glenda Mae Meyers, age 79, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 in Muskegon. She was born June 2, 1940 in Licking, Missouri to David Wilbur and Fay Lillian (Weber) Cantrell. Glenda co-owned and operated the Station Grill, which was founded in 1972, and could be seen there for many years working and proudly wearing her Station Grill t-shirt. She also co-owned and operated the Government Lake Lodge in Baldwin for 5 years. Glenda enjoyed cooking and taking care of family. She loved watching her grandchildren at all of their activities and sporting events. She also enjoyed spending time at her cottage in Twin Lake. SURVIVORS include 2 sons: Chris (Kelly) Meyers of Spring Lake, Scott (Stacie) Meyers of Norton Shores; 4 grandchildren: Kendall, CJ, Hunter, and Cole; her significant other of 40 years, Tom Gleason; sister, Patricia Ann Zoellner; 11 nephews; 8 nieces; 4 great-nephews; and 8 great- nieces. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers: David Wilbur Cantrell Jr., Vernon Nelson Cantrell, Leonard Ray Cantrell, Thomas Edward Cantrell, and Larry Dean Cantrell; 2 sisters: Doris Lucille Jennings and Gloria June Cantrell. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
