Glenda M. Moore's Obituary
Glenda M. Moore, age 73, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, April 17, 2025. She was born on June 12, 1951, in Union, Tennessee, to George and Littie (Petty) Keeton, and moved to Muskegon early in life, where she made her home. Glenda graduated from Muskegon High School with the Class of 1969. She was a dedicated and compassionate worker, Glenda spent 30 years at Mercy Hospital, where she served as a surgery coordinator until her retirement in 2016. On June 7, 1975, Glenda married the love of her life, Johnny “Boney” Moore, in Muskegon. Together they shared 31 years of love, laughter, and deep companionship until his passing on April 4, 2007. Glenda was a proud member of the Eagles and enjoyed the friendships and memories she made there. She had a passion for puzzles, especially crosswords and found joy and peace in working in her yard, watching birds, and taking in the beauty of nature. Above all, Glenda’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren who became her world. She loved each of her grandbabies unconditionally, and they each held a special place in her heart. But, that Lexi girl was her baby, filling her days with even more joy. She will be remembered for her fierce love, her legendary “Keeton” stubbornness and tongue, and her unwavering devotion to those she held dear. Glenda touched many lives and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her two daughters, Tiffany (Jesse) Tornes and Kristen (Billie Roberts Jr.) Moore; seven grandchildren, Kameron (Briane), Najeah, Tyler, Jaxon, Brooklynn, John C. and Alexiah; one great-grandchild, Legac’e; two brothers, Larry Keeton and George (Susan) Keeton; two sisters, Jan Loomis and Geneva Keeton; brother, Michael Keeton; stepson, Anthony (Lisa) Randel el; sister-in-law, Sharon Moore-Fyre; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Johnny Moore; sister, Patricia Keeton-Carter; granddaughter, Nia; and mother-in-law, Virginia Moore. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, April 28, 2025, at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442, with visitation one-hour prior. A Visitation with the family will be held from 2-4:00 PM on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Sytsema Chapel.
