Glenn A. "Duke" Johnson Sr.'s Obituary
Glenn A. “Duke” Johnson, Sr., age 73, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at University Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born August 19, 1951 in Muskegon to Louis and Dorothy (Furman) Johnson and lived all of his life in the area. Duke worked at Shape Corp. and had also owned a painting service prior to his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening and was an avid wrestling fan. Duke was a double lung transplant recipient in 2009 and lived an adventurous life since – even known to enjoy blowing stuff up. Survivors include his loving daughter, Licia M. (Clare) Camburn; 2 stepchildren, Jeff Snyder, Jennifer Snyder; 2 generations of many grandchildren; 8 brothers, Louis “Guy” Johnson, Rick Johnson, Randy Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Paul Johnson, Tom (Linda) Johnson, Jerry (Vicky) Johnson, Tulluce Johnson; and former spouse and friend, Donna Johnson. He was preceded in death by his son, Glenn A. Johnson, Jr., his parents, a sister, Linda Wiggers, and a brother, Sam Johnson. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held 3-5 PM Friday, March 28, 2025 at The Lee Family Center of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444.
