Glenna Marie Huss' Obituary
Glenna Marie Huss, age 89, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Trinity Health – Muskegon Hospital. She was born January 22, 1937 in Muskegon, MI to Stanley and Beatrice (Morton) Charron and lived all of her life in the area. Glenna graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School Class of 1955 and earned her associates degree at Muskegon Business College. Glenna married Kyran J. “Pete” Huss on June 21, 1957 and he preceded her in death on February 26, 2003. Glenna was a teacher for the Muskegon Catholic Schools before raising her family as a homemaker most of her life. She did return to teaching as a substitute for the Catholic Schools. She was a longtime member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where she also taught CCD and volunteered as the assistant Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader. Survivors include her 3 children, Joseph (Deborah) Huss, Thomas (Maryann) Huss, Ann (Jeffery) DePouw; 4 grandchildren, Michael Huss, Heather (fiancé, Camren Andrews) DePouw, Andrea DePouw, Brandon DePouw; 1 brother, Tim (Sharon) Charron; 1 sister, MaryJo (Mike) Settlemire; 1 brother-in-law, Gordon Huss; and 1 sister-in-law, Kathy Charron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Huss; her parents; 1 brother, Stanley Charron; and 1 sister, Pat Collins. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 Friday, July 10, 2026 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 2929 McCracken Street, Norton Shores, MI 49441. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Thursday, July 9, 2026 with the Rosary prayed at 4:30 PM Thursday at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441. Visitation will also be held 10-11AM Friday at the Church. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
