Glenn P. "Skip" Eckerle II's Obituary
Mr. Glenn P. “Skip” Eckerle II, age 44, passed away suddenly Saturday, November 7, 2009 in Newaygo, MI. He was born Dec. 4, 1964 in Flint, MI to Glenn P. and Frieda (Veldkamp) Eckerle, and grew up in Indian River, MI before coming to Muskegon in 1986. He was last employed as a truck driver for Buske Trucking Co., and had worked for American Airlines and Neway Equipment. His SURVIVORS include his daughter and son, Kayle and Trent Eckerle both of Norton Shores; brother Jeff; sisters: Judy, Paula, Ann Mary and Eilene; his former wife, Jan Dolack of Norton Shores; and his companion, Shelly Grinzinger and her daughters: MaKaela and Sydnie Grinzinger of Newaygo. His parents and a brother, Dennis, predeceased him. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 (just North of Pontaluna Rd.), (231)-798-1100, with Deacon Bill McCabe officiating. VISITATION with Skip’s family will be from 10-11 A.M. Saturday. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Eckerle Children’s Education Fund.
