Gloria J. Howe's Obituary
Gloria Jean Howe, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at her home in Baldwin, MI. She was born September 21, 1945 in Ludington, MI to Lloyd and Esther (Herrala) Phillion. Gloria attended Ludington High School and received her diploma in 1973 from the Whitehall Adult Education Program. On September 3, 1965, she married Melvin LeRoy Howe in Shelby, MI. Gloria enjoyed playing Kismet with friends and family, reading, and playing cards. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. SURVIVORS include her husband of 58 years, Melvin Howe of Baldwin; daughter, Rhonda Howe of Baldwin; three grandchildren: Kyle Howe, Kayle Howe, and Atalissia Cooper; two great-grandchildren: Aubrey and Dayton Cooper; sister, Patricia Peterson of North Muskegon; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Lyle Howe in 2016; infant siblings: Bertha and Phyllis Phillion, and infant Raymond Diliert; siblings: Joyce Nordine, Lloyd, Phillip, and Franklin Phillion. SERVICES for Gloria will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, June 6, 2024 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442 (231) 726-5210. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Fruitland Twp. Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the charity of your choice will be appreciated.
