Gloria F. Juusola's Obituary
Gloria F. Juusola, age 91, passed away Monday evening, March 5, 2018. She was born February 24, 1927 in Highland Park, MI to Arvid and Juliana (Sallinen) Dahlman. On June 30, 1945, she married Hubert C. Juusola in Tapiola, MI and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2003. Gloria had worked 21 years as a nurse’s aide at Knollview and Brookhaven prior to retiring in 1984. She enjoyed embroidery work, bowling, playing BINGO, having social time with friends, and loved to cook. Gloria was genuinely a compassionate and caring person. SURVIVORS include 5 children: Wanda (Tim) Freye of Fruitport; Keith (Tammy) Juusola, Karl (Connie) Juusola both of Muskegon; Kay (John) Hansen of Norton Shores, Jean (Paul) Rice of Muskegon; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Dorothy Erickson of Battle Creek, Jean Keranen of Pelkie, MI; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Wayne Juusola in 1977; grandsons, Chad Osborn and Steve Juusola in 2016; and brother, Curtis Dahlman. SERVICES will be 3:00 PM Saturday, March 10, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with Pastor Bobby D. Whitlock officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Egelston Twp. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Muskegon Rescue Mission will be appreciated.
