Gloria Jean McKee's Obituary
Gloria Jean McKee, age 82, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024, in Grand Haven, MI. She was born May 6, 1941, to Martin and Lucille (Hansen) Hansen, in Holton, MI. She attended Grand Haven High School and graduated in 1959. On May 11, 1963, she married the love of her life, Dale McKee and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2023. Gloria worked as a service representative for General Telephone for several years.
Gloria loved to go up to McClaren Lake and fish. She was an avid baseball fan, especially for the Chicago Cubs. She also was a big supporter of the Tri-Cities Kids Baseball League when her son, Scott, played. She liked playing cards and really enjoyed talking on the phone, especially with her family. She loved her dogs but more importantly, she loved being with her grandchildren. Gloria deeply appreciated her neighbors who provided care and support to her and Dale.
Gloria will be dearly missed by her sons, David (DeeDee) McKee and Scott (Mary Baker) McKee; grandchildren, Kaylee McKee, Kristopher (Hunter) McKee, Connor (Kinsey) McKee, Abby (Josh) Taylor, Randy Veihl and Ashley Veihl; great grandchildren, Kade Mueller, Kolton McKee, Kinzlee McKee, Emmi Taylor and Lincoln Taylor, sister, Janice Potter; and brother, Dennis Hansen. Along with her husband, Dale, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tom Hansen.
VISITATION with the family will be held from 1-3 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at The Spring Lake Chapel (213 E. Savidge, Spring Lake, MI 49456).
