Gloria Helen Loring's Obituary
Mrs. Gloria Helen Loring, age 79, passed away at her home Friday morning, August 14, 2009, surrounded by her family. Gloria was born June 15, 1930, in Muskegon, to Harvey and Helen (Lundholm) Neal. On April 24, 1954, she married James Curtis Loring in Durham, North Carolina, and he survives her. Gloria was a past member of the Muskegon Elks Club and was also part of the Hackley Hospital Cherry Guild for many years. She was an extremely loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and caregiver to her husband. In addition to her husband of 55 years, Gloria is survived by her children, Janice(Tom) Naperala of Whitehall, and David (Lori) Loring of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren, Ben (Korin) Bordner of Coldwater, Brooke Bordner, Casey Loring, and Cailey Loring, all of Muskegon; 2 great grandchildren, Sydney and Carter Bordner; 2 brothers, Gordon “Bud” (Ruth) Neal of Ravenna and Gary (Jan) Neal of N. Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. Gloria also leaves behind many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by both of her parents. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Pastor Jonathan Rager officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service (10-11 A.M.). MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
