Gordon L. Buzzell Sr.'s Obituary
Gordon Lynn Buzzell Sr. of Muskegon, MI, passed peacefully while surrounded by family at Trinity Hospital in Muskegon on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the age of 75. He was born in Lansing, MI, on November 12, 1950, in Lansing, MI, to Frank and Jean (Cline) Buzzell, and he grew up in Grand Ledge, MI. He started his career at 18 years old as a car detailer for Don Ross’ car lot in Grand Haven and later went on to work for over 30 years at Betten Auto in Grand Haven. He also worked for some time for Enviro-Clean in Holland, and some time at the YMCA in Grand Haven. On November 16, 1968, he married the former Norma Roberts, and the two of them spent 57 wonderful years building their family together. Gordon loved fishing, spending time in his garden, watching old VHS tapes of his family, and listening to music. He had a love for wildlife and all animals, and he loved spending time with his family.
Gordon will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Norma Buzzell; five children: Gordon Buzzell Jr, Candy (Tony Genung) Buzzell, Marc (Amy) Buzzell, Kevin (Juanita Gilford) Buzzell, and Shawn (Erik) Huff; 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Donna (Matt) Tobin; and two sisters in-law: Judy Buzzell and Diana McManamey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Jean Buzzell; two grandchildren: Michael Ward and Kordell Rodriguez; brother, Steven Buzzell; mother in-law: Bessie (Edwin) Bordeaux; father in-law, William Roberts; sister in-law, Barbara (Leonard) Sibley; and brother in-law, Henry McManamey.
