Gordon W. Lathrop's Obituary
Gordon W. Lathrop, age 80, passed away Friday morning, March 6, 2020. He was born February 15, 1940 in Harbor Springs, MI to Walter and Myrtle (Bester) Lathrop. Gordon worked 18 years for CWC Textron prior to his retirement in 1995. He attended Cloverville Baptist Church and enjoyed hobby farming, tinkering with small engines, and woodworking. SURVIVORS include 4 children: Laura (Todd) Holwerda of Muskegon, Darlene (Stephen) Golden of Twin Lake, Walter (Kris) Lathrop of Ottawa, OH, Marcie (Richard) Barber of Galesburg, MI; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; former spouse, Susan Lathrop; 2 brothers; 5 sisters; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Carrie Arcioni. SERVICES for Gordon will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 12, 2020 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442 (231) 726-5210 with Pastor John Karvonen officiating. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday, March 11, 2020 and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
