Mr. Gordon Louis Lydeksen's Obituary
Mr. Gordon Louis Lydeksen, age 95, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Haslett, MI. Gordon was born November 1, 1921 to Thorvald and Thirza (Evans) Lydeksen in Muskegon. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII. On April 17, 1954, he married Barbara Gilbert and she preceded him in death on May 27, 2012. Gordon was employed as a professional driver. He was a member of the Muskegon Railroad Society, West Michigan Historical Society and the Durand Depot Association. Gordon was an avid photographer. He will be missed by his son, Garth L. Lydeksen of Haslett, MI and daughter, Christine (Richard) Yonker of Owosso, MI; and grandchildren, Rebecca Harmon and Benjamin Yonker. He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister, Eloise Rahn. Visitation will be Noon until 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 19, 2017 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. 231 726-5210.
