Just read this while in Florida. So sorry. We spent many nights at prayer meetings at St Ann's. Trips to Vegas, bowling, eating at the "round table" at The Idle Hour. So many fond memories. You will be missed. Prays that God brings peace and comfort to the family. RIP Gordy!
Gordy and Don Anderson were my stat takers for girls basketball in the 80s; and they seemed to have a good time doing it. Gord was one of, if not the first, to offer a helping hand. It was greatly appreciated and not out of character. Good guy who will be missed. My thoughts are with the Family.

Gordy was a wonderful man,my first boss,Linda and Gordy hired me when I was 14 at the Idle Hour,a place truly in my heart ever since.And in the years they owned Idle hour I think he fired me twice.I was young.One time I gassed the pies in the oven,it never lit.And 1 time my dad took me there to get my job back.Well I stayed at that job for over 40 years.Linda and Gordy were the kind of people that if you thought you didn’t have to work because of a snow storm,Linda hired a plow truck to pick you up wherever you were.If you were gettin married on AUG 3 Linda stopped you in the middle of Savidge st and said it’s coust guard so no honeymoon now.Gordy will always be in my heart,he saw me grow up and I will miss him
Gordy and Linda were my first bosses at Idle Hour and showed me how to respect but also be friends with my bosses which has carried over throughout my employments. When I think of you all I see is smiles and laughter and as I type this is hard imagining I won't see Gordy's smile at the Legion again. RIP my friend and sending very tight hugs to LInda and all the family.
