Grace Church's Obituary
Grace Church, age 96, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019. Grace was born in Muskegon on December 22, 1922 to John and Nellie (Vanderburg) Rozeboom. Grace married Edmond Dahlstrom on November 2, 1943. Grace and Ed had two children together, Randall E. “Randy” Dahlstrom and Patricia E. “Patty” Reider. Grace worked at Shaw Walker for many years before retiring. After retiring, Grace and Ed would often enjoy the winter months in Florida or Arizona. Grace was preceded in death by Ed on January 1, 1996. On August 24, 2002, Grace married John Church, who survives her, and they spent many great years together. Grace enjoyed gardening, travelling, crossword puzzles, sitting on the Pillon porch, and riding in parades with John. Grace will be lovingly greeted in heaven with a glass of wine by her daughter, Patty, son, Randy, husband, Ed, grandson, Tom, and siblings, Angie, Nick, and Al. Grace will be deeply missed by her husband, John, grandson, Ben (Alyssa) Reider, son-in-law, Rick Reider, daughter-in-law, Sue Kellogg, relatives Dave and Marsha Karr, and many special friends. The Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2019 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 with Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. VISITATION with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m. on the day of the service. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery. Grace was a devoted member of Samuel Lutheran Church.
