Grace Posthumus' Obituary
Mrs. Grace Posthumus, age 93, died Thursday evening, September 14, 2006 in Grand Haven. She was born April 30, 1913 in Muskegon to Edward and Hattie (Wagenmaker) Musk, and had been a Fruitport resident most of her life until moving to Grand Haven in 1988. Mrs. Posthumus was the proprietor of Posthumus Produce, had worked at many family greenhouses, and had been a Fruitport Community School safety guard. She also enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, crafts, going to flea markets, and spending time with her family. On November 26, 1930, she married Peter Posthumus in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on July 27, 1991. SURVIVORS include 3 sons, Charles P. (Joy) Posthumus of Holland, Ronald J. Posthumus of Fruitport, Roger A. (Sharon) Posthumus of Muskegon; 2 daughters, Joyce Jorgensen of Gobles, MI, Darlene (David) Anacker of Grand Haven; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 7 brothers; 1 sister; and a daughter-in-law, Janette Posthumus. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Monday at
