Mrs. Grace L. Woodin's Obituary
Mrs. Grace L. Woodin, 98, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at her home in Spring Hill, Florida. Born February 17, 1916 to Andy and Florence (Taft) Preston in Bellaire, MI, she lived most of her life in Muskegon, before moving to Florida in 2011 to live with her granddaughter. She was the widow of Norman Lambert, who died in 1976; Paul Schort, who died in 1993; and Rev. Thomas Woodin, Sr. who died in 1996. She was a member of Calvary Church before moving to Florida. Her SURVIVORS include a son, Mahlon Lambert of Muskegon; daughters Madeline Cox of California and Norma Schwartz of Spring Hill, FL; step-children: Paulette LaMie; Tom (Ann) Woodin, Lila (William) Mangrum, Barbara (James) Turner, Judith (Harvey) Wagenmaker, Marvin (Theresa) Hoerle, Carolyne (Bruce) Dean, and James (Barbara) Hoerle; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Vernon “Mike” (Maxine) Preston. Her parents; husbands; a son, Wesley Lambert; step-son, George Woodin; two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. VISITATION with Grace’s family will be from 10-11 A.M. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444; 231-798-1100. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Terry Fulk officiating.
