Grant Lee McCurry's Obituary
Mr. Grant Lee McCurry, age 68, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2004 in Port Huron. He was born January 1, 1936 in Muskegon where he grew up. He then joined the United States Air Force and moved to Mt. Clemens, Richmond, and then moved back to Muskegon. Mr. McCurry was in the 127 Tactical Command Unit and served in Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama Conflict and Desert Storm. He was a member of Traverse City VFW Post 14000, and attended Temple United Methodist Church. He is survived by his former wife, Marjorie Ann McCurry; 4 children, Richelle Mc Curry, Shawn Carrier, Laurie McCurry, Stephen McCurry all of Traverse City; 5 grandchildren, Tiffany McCurry, Benjamin and Antoinette Carrier, Nicole McCurry, Christina Brooks; 1 great-grandchild, Olivia Carrier; and girlfriend, Doris Cohoon. He was preceded in death by his parents; Mac and Ann (Holman) McCurry, and 2 brothers. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Friday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI, 231-726-5210, with Pastor Fred Summerfield officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
