Gregory R. "Greg" Dault's Obituary
Gregory R. “Greg” Dault, age 68, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at home after courageously battling cancer numerous times. He was born on June 17, 1953 to Robert and Elizabeth “Betty” (Egeler) Dault in East Lansing, MI, before making his way to Muskegon. He attended Muskegon Catholic Central high school and graduated class of 1971. It was that year, he met the love of his life, Candice Bozell and on October 26, 1973 they married in Muskegon, MI. Together they cherished 48 years full of endless love, laughter and adventures. He dedicated many years working at numerous grocery stores in the community. In 2015, he retired from Plumbs where he worked as a manager for both the dairy and frozen food departments. Greg took pride in his career and was well known for his hard work and dedication around the community. When he was not working, he enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was hiking, fishing, or biking. Greg and Candy loved traveling all over in their camper, enjoying a glass of beer by the fire. Not only did he enjoy the outdoors, but he also had a keen eye for sunsets and thought each one was different. He would never pass on an opportunity to see a beautiful sunlit sky or the boats that may accompany it on the water. In his earlier years, he was an avid golfer ready for tee time every Friday night with his buddies. He also had a passion for coaching his children in both baseball and softball. He spent 10+ years on the sidelines improving skills of many either on the mound or sending runner’s home. Above all things, he genuinely loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. They were his world. Everyone knew that his grandchildren were the most important aspects of his life, and he would always say he would do “anything for his grandkids”. Greg will always be remembered for his willingness to debate with just about anyone about anything. His tough exterior balanced with his not-so-secret tenderness will truly be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Candice Dault; 2 children, Jamie (Lee) Marine and Jeffrey (Laura) Dault; mother, Betty Dault 4 grandchildren, Jared, Drake, Marley and Allison; siblings, Michael (Cathy) Dault, Stephen (Karen) Dault, Michelle (Steve) Wheeler, Debbie (Bob) Mogdis, Cheryl (Jim) Laus and Amy (Lyle) LaLone; several nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Nancy Bozell; sisters-in-law, Kathy (Doug) Dekker, Sue (Chris) Carriere and Julie (Matt) Bond; brother-in-law, James (Mary Carlson) Bozell; and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Dault; father-in-law, William Bozell; and brother-in-law, Thomas Bozell. A private family Celebration of Life will be held.
