Gregory A. Hysell Jr.'s Obituary
Gregory Alan Hysell Jr., age 38, passed away unexpectedly May 8, 2020. He was born March 11, 1982 in Grand Rapids, MI to Gregory A. and Kathleen (Kosinski) Hysell Sr. Greg was a great cook and had worked at many different area restaurants over the years. He was a diehard Detroit Lions fan and was always joking and pulling pranks…he was just plain goofy! He loved to listen to 2Pac (Tupac Shakur) and could always be heard rapping to the beat of his music. Greg would give you the shirt off his back to anyone with no questions asked. He loved his family and was also very close to his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Greg will be sadly missed by all who knew him. SURVIVORS include 2 children: Jillian Parson and Blake Hysell; his father, Gregory Hysell Sr.; siblings: Sara Jefferson, Chris (Krysten) Patterson, Ken (Laura) Patterson, and Emilee (Justin) Flickinger; 5 nephews and 3 nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Hysell and his stepmother, Diane Hysell. A celebration of Greg’s life will be held at a later date.
