Gregory M. "Gregg" Robar's Obituary
Gregory M. “Gregg” Robar, age 73, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025, following a brief illness. He was born August 17, 1952, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Robert and Florence (Gunia) Robar. Gregg graduated from Muskegon High School in 1970. On February 22, 1973, he married the love of his life, Gail E. Bryant, in Grand Haven, MI. He spent 34 dedicated years working at Herman Miller before retiring. Known for his strong work ethic, Gregg often took on long hours and overtime to provide for his family and was equally recognized for his sharp, sarcastic wit. He had a passion for golf, enjoyed a good cigar, and appreciated fine bourbon. A loyal sports fan, Gregg rooted for the New York Yankees, Notre Dame, and the Green Bay Packers. In his younger years, he played softball and remained an avid bowler, poker player, and euchre enthusiast. He also cherished his weekly breakfast gatherings with friends and colleagues. Above all, Gregg found his greatest joy in supporting his children and grandchildren, rarely missing a game or sporting event. SURVIVORS include his wife of 52 years, Gail; children, Scott Robar and Tricia Robar-Goerbig; five grandchildren, Baryn Robar, Landen Goerbig, Taytum Goerbig, Quintin Goerbig, and Collette Goerbig; sister, Shelley (Mike) Messer; sister-in-law, LouAnn Bryant; nieces and nephews, Chuck, Shanna, and Tim Messer, Don (Kim) Hines; and several great-nieces and nephews.
