Gretchen Dee Ogren's Obituary
Mrs. Gretchen Dee Ogren, age 51, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday, August 21, 2011. She was born on November 19, 1959 to Kenneth and Claire (LaBonte) Mietzner in Rhode Island at the Quonset Point Naval Air Station. She worked in surgery as a registered nurse for Mercy Health Partners. Gretchen loved spending time with her family and caring for others. She also enjoyed cooking, riding motorcycles and boating. On September 8, 1979 she married David Ogren, Sr. in North Kingstown, RI, and he survives her along with her parents; 2 children, David (Sherry) Ogren, Jr., Emily Rose Ogren; 2 grandchildren, Megan and Victoria; and sister, Rhonda (Mark) McLoughlin of New Bedford, MA. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 26, 2011 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey 231-798-1100 with Pastor Robby Richardson officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. MEMORIALS to West Michigan Youth for Christ - Teen Moms Division would be appreciated. Burial will take place at Laketon Township Cemetery.
