Guadalupe Anguiano Rodriguez's Obituary
Mrs. Guadalupe Anguiano Rodriguez, age 90, passed away Sunday, December 05, 2010 at her home in Muskegon. She was born in Guerrero, Coahuila, Mexico on February 24, 1920 to Benjamin and Rita (Rodriguez) Anguiano and moved to the United States when she was 9 months old. Mrs. Rodriguez was raised in Crystal City, TX and lived most of her adult life in Muskegon. She loved her family and all children. On February 24, 1938, Guadalupe married Ramiro Rodriguez in Crystal City, TX and they enjoyed 69 years of marriage before he passed away on January 21, 2008. She is survived by her children, Berta Rodriguez, Ramiro (Lynda) Rodriguez, Jr., Oraila (Douglas) Newton; 7 grandchildren, Carmen, Margarita and Andres Rodriguez, Ricardo and Raul Urbina, Melissa Newton and Rebecca Youngs; 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; 3 daughters, Delia Rodriguez, Lupita Rodriguez, Mary Rodriguez; 1 granddaughter, Christina Newton; 2 brothers, Benjamin Anguiano and Inez Berain and 1 sister, Estela Torres. The FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding. VISITATION will be from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with the ROSARY PRAYED by Maria Varela at 6:00 PM. INTERMENT will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIALS in Mrs. Rodriguez’s name may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital. The Rodriguez Family would like to express a special thanks to Sandra Lescay for her dedication and care for their mother.
