Gunner A. Aumiller's Obituary
It is with great pain and sorrow that our family announces the unexpected passing of our beloved son, brother and cherished family member, Gunner Alan Aumiller. Gunner went to heaven in the early hours of December 1, 2019 while in his loving home with his family near. God has answered our prayers and shown mercy on his soul. Although our hearts are breaking, we now know that he is resting in eternal peace, free of struggle and pain.
Gunner was born to Richard and Lynn Aumiller on March 23, 1995 along with his twin sister, Ericka Ann whom Gunner adored. He blessed our lives for 24 brief years before heaven called him home. His life will be cherished by his family and friends for eternity. His smile will live on in our hearts and his love will follow us wherever we go. Gunner held his family close to his heart and loved with everything he had. His hugs can still be felt… he gave the best hugs in the world. Gunner was happiest at home with his family where he felt safe from the world and loved every day of his life. His family and close friends knew what a gift he was and they have lifted us up with their heartfelt condolences and tributes. He would be truly overjoyed and humbled to know that so many people are remembering him for the genuine, kind, and loving person he always was and will remain. Our son was polite to all he knew and he likely thanked God for saving him. For his family there is comfort in knowing all the people he touched. He was a gift from God. May his unconditional love for all of us shine down and bless us. We have faith that Gunner is now with his family that has passed before him, especially his Grandma Marilyn who had a special place for him in her heart. Lord, we know that you love him as much as we do, please keep his tender soul close to yours for eternity.
Gunner will be forever missed by his Father, Richard and Mother Lynn. His twin sister, Ericka Ann Aumiller. His stepfather, Richard Ciezak Jr., who feels forever blessed to have shared Gunner’s life for 12 short years and for that he is eternally grateful. His maternal grandparents, Charles and Nancy Shoquist, and paternal grandparents, Clifford Rolison, and Robert Aumiller. His aunts and uncles, Sara Marshall, Lee (Steve) Shoquist, Larry (Jen) Rolison. His cousins, Breeze and Maesyn Marshall, Dan (Nikki) Aumiller, very special cousin Harley Aumiller whom Gunner adored, Barrett Aumiller, Quinn Rolison, Brezlin Aumiller and Phoenix Gomez. Gunner is also survived by numerous extended family who cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Marilyn Rolison, his Uncle Bob Aumiller, his Aunt Melinda Aumiller and his great grandparents. And Gunner’s fur family he leaves behind, who meant so much to him and brought him much comfort and joy every day; Buddy, Mama, Graycie, Rudy, Baby and Snowy.
Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles; I’ve only gone to rest a little while.
Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt, and given me relief.
So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. Because, I will remember you all, and look on with a smile. Understand in your hearts, I’ve only gone to rest a little while.
As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.
For a lasting memory of Gunner, donations can be made to Pound Buddies of Muskegon in support of all the homeless fur babies Gunner embraced.
