Gustav Buchholz's Obituary
Gustav Buchholz, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. He was born on February 2, 1947 to Rudolf and Else Buchholz in Grand Rapids. Gus graduated from Kellogsville High School in 1965. He graduated in 1969 from WMU with a BS and a MS degree where here was member of his fraternity Phi Sigma Kappa. Went on to be a teacher in the Wyoming Public School district where he retired after 30 years of teaching. He was known for his many adventures and the love of politics, his Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Bucks. Gustav is survived by his loving children, Amy Rector, Matthew Buchholz; grandchildren, Curtis (Ashlee) Buchholz, Brandon Rector, Logan Buchholz, Lauren Buchholz, Jorja Buchholz, Kaden Buchholz; great-grandchildren, Carter, Beckett, Emerson; sister, Elfrieda Buchholz and Husband Gayle; nephews, Benjamin Lewitt, Jesse Lewitt, and Daniel Lewitt. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of Gustav’s life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to The Lee Chapel of The Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S.
