Guy Andrew Kohnke's Obituary
Guy Andrew Kohnke, age 45, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. He was born October 24, 1977, in Grand Haven, MI to Wayne Lee and Judy Ellen (Hradsky) Kohnke. Guy married Sandra H. Alcazar on October 12, 2013, in Grand Rapids, MI.
Guy graduated from Spring Lake High School and worked for Advantage Solutions as a salesman. He loved bowling, traveling, and playing guitar in the band “Crossing Bard”. His other interests were watching the NFL and college football and rooting for his favorite teams the Kansas City Chiefs and Michigan Wolverines.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Sandra Alcazar-Kohnke; his father, Wayne Kohnke; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dennis (Ellen) Alcazar; two brothers-in-law, Dennis Alcazar II and Darren (Dawn Henry) Alcazar; two nieces, Delilah Opalewski and Adley Alcazar; and his nephew, Ari Alcazar. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Ellen Kohnke on February 18, 2018.
The funeral service for Guy will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at The Spring Lake Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 213 E. Savidge St., Spring Lake, MI 49456 with Rev. Dan Anderson officiating. Family and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
