Gypsy Lee Riley's Obituary
Gypsy Lee Riley, age 76, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 to be with her Lord and Savior in heaven after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Gypsy was born on October 2, 1947 to Harvey Riley and Mary (Briggs) Riley. She was one of six children composed of two sisters Betty, Sue Ann and three brothers Lawrence, Robert, and Dale. Gypsy enjoyed the outdoors and the beauty of nature. You would often find her outside caring for her flowers and plants in her garden. Gypsy loved all animals especially her cats which she cherished and adored. She couldn’t ignore any of God’s creatures she felt needed her help. This was evident in her support of local no kill shelters and fostering of animals. This compassion was part of her nature and she offered the same caring for people she would meet. She always looked for the best in them and would provide assistance in whatever way she could. She was a very hard worker and retired from the Muskegon Public Schools after 25 years of service. She took pride in her work accomplishments and touched many lives during those years leaving a lasting impression. Gypsy is survived by one brother, her son Tony and his wife Misty, four grandchildren Joe, Jon, Sherri, Skyler, and one great grandchild Braxton. She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone that knew her. If you would like to remember and honor Gypsy she requested that you make a donation to The Noah Project, 5205 Airline Road, Muskegon, MI 49444. Arrangements handled by The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444. Sign the online guestbook at http://www.sytsemafh.com
