Harold Leroy Ames' Obituary
Harold Leroy Ames age 90, of Muskegon, died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
Harold was born on May 6, 1921 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Wesley and Edna (Hibbs) Ames. He served in the United States Army. He married Doris Jones on September 22, 1942 in Muskegon, MI. She preceded her in death on January 17, 1989.
Harold is survived by: 1 Son: Harry (Jan) Ames of Muskegon, 2 Daughters: Teresa (Tom) Fitzgerald and Linda (Gordon) Genson both of Muskegon. 8 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. 1 Sister in-law: Maxine Ames of Muskegon.
He was preceded in death in addition to his parents and wife Doris by a baby girl: Patricia, baby boy: Robert, 1 Brother: Donald and 3 sisters: Bernice, Doris, Elda.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 11:00am at the Ravenna Township Cemetery. The Holton and Muskegon Veterans will conduct a Military Graveside Service.
