Harold J. Buck's Obituary
Harold J. Buck, age 87, of Grand Haven passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Grand Pines Assisted Living. He was born March 20, 1926 in Detroit, MI to Edmond Charles and Blenda Florence (Simon) Buck. Harold married the former Enid Hofsommer on July 26, 1947 in Ferndale, MI. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2005.
Harold served his country in the Army during WWII, and was employed as a senior graphic engineer at General Motors in Detroit until retirement. Harold attended St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed his time with his special friend, Millie.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughters: Connie (Mark) Leinhos, Janet (Phillip) Borum and Lorri (Frank) Wilkerson; and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Harold Bradley Buck and his special friend, Mildred “Millie” Jerovsek.
The Funeral Service for Harold will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013 at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. Dieter Haupt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, MI.
