Harold C. Chaney's Obituary
Mr. Harold C. Chaney, age 94, of Spring Lake passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Heartwood Lodge. He was born August 19, 1921 in Hesperia to Harold and Nellie (Wilcox) Chaney. On April 6, 1944, he married Lois Williams at the family home in Hesperia.
Harold served his country in the US Army during WWII and retired from Challenge Machinery. He attended Nortonville Gospel Chapel. Harold enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood working and spending his winters in Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; two children: Kimberly (Steve) Ellis of Twin Lake, and Kenneth (Sandy) Chaney of Spring Lake; daughter-in-law, Julie Chaney of Wyoming; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. He is also survived by two sisters: Areldine Charles and Margaret Rhodea. He was preceded in death by one son, Harry Chaney; and two sisters, Bernice and Dorothy.
The funeral service will take place 11:00 AM Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Nortonville Gospel Chapel with Pastor Greg Lunt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in Spring Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Harold may be given to Nortonville Gospel Chapel.
