Harold Elliott's Obituary
Mr. Harold R. Elliott, age 64, died unexpectedly Sunday, November 23, 2003 on a hunting trip to Springfield, Missouri. He was born September 11, 1939 to Harold J. and Margaret (Collins) Elliott in Shelby, and lived almost all of his life in the Muskegon area. After 23 years of service at Howard Miller, he retired as the Corporate Vice President on January 2, 2003. Previous to that, he worked for over 20 years at E. H. Sheldon/ American Seating, where he served as the Assistant to the President. Harold was an avid sportsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing, was a Co-Chair for 10 years of Ducks Unlimited, and was a member of Safari Club International. He was also a long-time member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church. On March 4, 1966 he married the Nancy Fisher. SURVIVORS include his wife, Nancy; 2 daughters, Heidi (Brad) Sprague of Spring Lake, Heather (Greg) Shunta of Grand Haven; 4 grandchildren, Tarynn Sprague, Jerydd Sprague, Austynn Sprague, Lucas Elliott Sprague; his mother, Margaret Elliott of Muskegon; 1 brother, William (Sally) Elliott of Wisconsin; 5 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold H., and 1 brother, Kevin. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Friday at the Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 973 W. Norton Ave., with Pastor Ron Nyenhuis officiating. Burial will take place at the Lake Forest Cemetery in Grand Haven. VISITATION at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W.
