Harold E. Paulson's Obituary
Mr. Harold E. Paulson, age 95, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 at the Poppen Residence. He was born on January 14, 1922 in Garden, MI to Edwin and Ida (Haas) Paulson. Harold served his country in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. He then worked as a tool and die maker for Johnson Technologies for 44 years, prior to retiring in 1989. Harold was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, the Muskegon Heights Eagles and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and was proud of having the best yard in town. On October 2, 1948, he married the former Ann Predko and they were married together for 57 years before Ann preceded him in death on May 7, 2006. SURVIVORS include six children, Camille (Richard, deceased) Torrey of Muskegon, Roberta “Bobbie” (John) Duff of Whitehall, Debbie (LeRoy) Eitniear of Holton, Susan (Steve) Gawron of Muskegon, Karen (special friend, Dave Clement) Holmberg of Muskegon, and Harold “Jay” (Christine) Paulson, Jr. of Fruitport; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and sister, Irene Anderson of Escanaba, MI. Harold was also preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Edward Paulson. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11 AM Friday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Charles Hall officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Thursday at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565. Entombment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
