Harold Perry Wheeler of Norton Shores passed into the presence of his Lord on Friday, May 27, 2016. Harold was born in Muskegon on January 26, 1937, to Wilfred and Berendena (Sprik) Wheeler and spent his entire life in the Muskego Read Obituary
We were so saddened to hear of Harold's passing last week. Thank you, Maryanne, for keeping us informed and sharing some thoughts with us at Las Olas.
We are so pleased we were able to see Harold in Cocoa Beach this Spring.....
A sweet, gentle man who was a pleasure to be around. He will be missed!

The members of the Norton Shores Fire Department were saddened to hear of the loss of Chief Wheeler. Maryanne please know, the Chief was a well respected man among his firefighters and we always knew he had our backs. It is comforting to know that he will always be with us, protecting us and continuing to watch over us. Its time for the Fire Department to be there to have his back and honor "Our Chief" who has worked so hard for us.
I was so sorry to see that Harold had passed. I worked for the city of Norton Shores for years, and knew Harold well. He was such a gentleman, and a man with the biggest heart. You couldn't help but love him, and admire him for his dedication to the citizens of Norton Shores through the Fire Department. I'm glad to see he traveled widely during his retirement and enjoyed so many things. He will be sadly missed. I pray that God will give his family strength and comfort, and that their wonderful memories of this wonderful man will warm their hearts forever. With sincere sympathy, Linda Austin
