Harold Williams' Obituary
Harold Williams, age 74, cast his final line on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Muskegon, Michigan. He was born on October 18, 1951, in Madison, Arkansas, to the union of Homer and Lula Mae Williams.
Harold faced early challenges in life. When his mother passed away when he was only sixteen, he took on the responsibility of caring for his family. Though he left school early, he never let go of his dreams. At age 36, he earned his high school diploma through determination and commitment to personal growth.
In his 50s, Harold pursued his passion for faith and learning, earning an associate degree in theology. He later became an ordained elder at Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ under Bishop Nathaniel Wyoming Wells in 2004.
After moving to Muskegon in his youth, Harold met the love of his life, Bertha Williams. Together they shared 27 blessed years.
Harold worked faithfully at Eagle Ottawa Leather, CWC Textron, and GE Aviation, retiring in 2015. Later, he joyfully found his “dream job” working security at the USS Silversides Submarine Museum.
Harold leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Bertha Williams; children Donald Jones, Jewell Closz, Charles Duncan Bailey, Tomeka Bailey, Monica Clark, Quincy Wallace, Alesha Eure, Jason Eure, Christian Crosby, Lemech Crosby, and Kalieb Clark; 41 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and two on the way. He is also survived by his father, Homer Williams, age 95, and brothers James Williams, Michael Johnson, Leonard Johnson, and Kenneth Fontaine. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Mae Johnson; his son, Lemech Nelson; and siblings, Charles Reese and Claudia Henderson.
When the final cast was made, peace was the catch.
