Harold Gene Taylor's Obituary
Mr. Harold Gene Taylor, age 70, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011 at his home. Mr. Taylor was born November 3, 1941 to Harold E. and Evelyn M. (Berg) Taylor in Grand Haven. On August 11, 1967 he married the former Donna M. VanMaastricht. Harold served his country in the US Army. He had worked as the assistant manager and computer programmer for the Co-Op Credit Union. He went on to work for Superior Seafoods until his retirement. Harold was a member of Grace Christian Reformed Church where he had served as Deacon and church treasurer. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening and computers. Harold is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna; his daughter, Kathleen R. (Michael) Wynia of Zeeland; and 2 grandsons, Jonathan M. and Timothy R. Wynia. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael on May 5, 2008; and his parents. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 12 Noon Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Grace Christian Reformed Church (2500 E. Laketon Ave.) with Rev. Ken Havert officiating. VISITATION will be Friday evening from 6-8 PM at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 and one hour prior to the service (11AM-Noon) at the church.
