Harold Jon Olson's Obituary
Harold Jon Olson, age 73, of Spring Lake passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011, at his home. He was born April 17, 1938, in Escanaba, MI, to Gustav and Edith (Bergen) Olson, and he married the former Deana Evans on November 12, 1983, in Spring Lake.
Harold served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was employed as a Hearing Specialist with Audobel of Grand Rapids. Harold enjoyed antique cars, golfing, boating, water skiing, woodworking, and spending time in the outdoors. He most of all cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Deana; two daughters, Laura (Jim) Pulsifer of Spring Lake and Kate (Joe) Boyle of Naperville, IL; two sons, David (Kristine) Olson of Lansing and Colman (Krystin) McGahan of Chicago; twelve grandchildren: Jennifer, Alex, Andy, David, Andrew, Daniel, Dylan, Blake, Ethan, Grayson, Camden, Ansley, and twin boys due in December; sister, Vicki Jo (Wayne) Hankins of Charlotte, MI; and brother, Ron (Sharon) Olson of Lansing. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The service for Harold will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011 at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Pastor Bob DeVries officiating. Friends may meet the family from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, at the funeral home in Grand Haven. Interment will be in Spring Lake Cemetery.
