Harold Phillip Fett's Obituary
Harold Phillip Fett, age 72, of Grand Haven, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. He was born on April 5, 1936 to Arnold and Katherine (Brown) Fett in Grand Haven. His first wife, Maryanne Fett preceded him in death on June 21, 1979. He married Phyllis (Plichta) Feldt on April 22, 1995 in Muskegon.
Harold worked at Challenge Stamping & Porcelain for 27 years and was an owner of Electrical Concepts for 9 years before retiring. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Grand Haven and enjoyed bowling, playing pool, and golf and loved being with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis, 3 daughters: Connie Palma of Holland, Julie (Douglas) Schoonveld , and Laurie (Bruce) MacFadden both of Grand Haven; step-children, Dr. Chuck (Cheri) Feldt of Fruitport and JoAnn (Kevin) Ernst of Armada, MI; 7 grand-children: Alicia (Chris) Green, Jamie and Brett Chittenden, Chris and Brian (Mary) MacFadden, and Amy and Kara Schoonveld; 6 great-grandchildren: Haley, Kody, Riley, Kaylynn, Kaisinn and Isabella; also a sister-in law, Lois Fett of Spring Lake; several nieces and nephews and brother in Christ, Ed Dault. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Arnold, Donald, Bernard and Jack Fett and step-daughter, Karen Beck.
The funeral liturgy for Harold will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Rev. William Langlois officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in the Robinson Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Harold’s name to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church or St. Lazare’s Retreat Home are appreciated.
