Harold W. Young's Obituary
Mr. Harold W. Young, age 81, died Monday, February 13, 2006. He was born September 13, 1924 in Muskegon to Harold J. and Mary (Hayes) Young, and had been a life resident. Mr. Young was a Muskegon High School graduate and attended the University of Wisconsin. He was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran, serving in the South Pacific during 3 of the worst invasions. Mr. Young was a consulting engineer for Young Radiator Company of Racine, Wisconsin until his retirement. As an engineer, he enjoyed volunteering his time. He was a member of the Marine Corp League #703, the Devil Dogs of the Marine Corp, the American Legion Merritt Lamb Post #9, VFW Post 446, Lakeside Veterans, Vikings Lodge Linne’ 57, Mona Lake Boat Club, Muskegon Recreation Club, Polish Falcons Nest 276, Muskegon Eagles Aerie 668, and a member of the Muskegon Elks Lodge 274 since he was 21. SURVIVORS include 2 brothers, Bruce (Sue) Young of Lewiston, ID, Gerald Young of Ohio; nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Audrey Stevens of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rosemary Carlson. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Monday at
