Harriet G. Cooper's Obituary
Mrs. Harriet G. Cooper, age 101, passed away March 24, 2023, in Muskegon. She was born June 24, 1921, to Jacob “Jack” and Trena (Kroeze) Brondsema in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Harriet was a member of Fifth Reformed Church, she enjoyed family dinners, eating out, traveling and camping. She was an avid Detroit Tiger fan and was a member of the Happy Wanderers Trailer Club for many years. Harriet married Albert Cooper on June 24, 1942, and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1997. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Carol D. Cooper and her husband Lonnie Greeno; Grandchildren: Sherri Stroebe, Susan (Brandon) Poel, Lynn (Scott) Fongers, Kevin (Wendy Woodring) Cooper; great-grandchildren: Kristin Johnson and Marisa Stroebe, Kaelyn and Keaton Poel, Kayleigh (Jake) VanWyk, Aaron Fongers and Jordan Woodring; three great-great grandchildren; and one sister Pearl Redder. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Trena Brondsema; daughter Mary L. Bevins; son James A. Cooper; and sister Dorothea Ruiter. A family graveside service will take place at a later date at Restlawn Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Cooper may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
