Mrs. Harriet A. McConnell's Obituary
Harriet passed away Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1951, raised 4 children in Denver, CO and retired from her job as Medical Records Manager at Rose Hospital in 1975 when she married C. William “Bill” McConnell. She loved the outdoors and animals (except squirrels) and was a sailor, golfer, tennis player, kayaker and gardener. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Betsy (Chick) Doehlert. She is survived by her brother, David (Betty) Wallace; 6 children and stepchildren: Steve Schorie, Susan Blake, Carolyn Schorie, Beverly Schorie, Marnie (Tom) Sutter and Bill (Marcia) McConnell Jr.; 4 grandchildren: Carolyn Blake, Melanie Blake, Chris (Courtney) Sutter and Annie (Jamie) Somerville; many nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Jamie DeCheney and Celeste McGruder; and Max.
