Mrs. Harriet D. Robbins' Obituary
Mrs. Harriet (Dykehouse) Robbins finished her life journey on Sunday, October 12, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born in Howell, MI on September 29, 1932 to Fred and Frances (Hines) Dykehouse and grew up in the Grayling, MI area. She graduated from North Muskegon High School and earned her business degree at Baker College. Harriet married Richard Robbins, Sr. on August 1, 1950. She was employed at Shaw Walker for over 30 years and she and Richard owned Robbins Custom Jewelry. Together they had four children, Richard (Deb) Robbins Jr., Kathy Singerling, David Robbins and Tammy (Don) Frazier; eight grandchildren, Darrell (Carla), Dawn (Elvis), Joe Ryan, Nick (Melissa), Hillarie, Raliegh, Michael (Lindsay), Justin (Ashley); four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frieda Naffziger and Lillian Mills; special family, Jeff (Marin) Pfhistner and their children, Josh and Caitlyn and lifelong friend, Bertha Cain. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, fast cars and especially her grandchildren. Harriet joins her husband Richard; granddaughter, Lindsay Frazier; “son-in-law”, Rich Mitchell and seven brothers and sisters. PRIVATE services have taken place.
